Michael brings more than 25 years of broad experience in the investment management and wealth management industries to Forum. As President, Forum Capital Advisors, he is responsible for the day-to-day operations specifically focusing on the execution of the company’s business plan and key strategies including investment management products and platform, distribution and capital markets, acquisitions and developments, marketing, investor services, human resources, and the firm’s back-office operations.
Prior to joining Forum, Michael served on the firm’s Advisory Board and as an independent Trustee of the Forum Real Estate Income Fund. Michael is the Founder and Managing Director of Primark Capital, an investment management firm providing retail investors with access to private equity investment opportunities. Before that he built and was the CEO of a $12B RIA managing more than 30 investment strategies and a $10B liquid alternative mutual fund complex that launched more than 50 alternative investment funds. Most recently he purchased, redeveloped, and sold a family-office backed, $6B RIA. He also specialized as a corporate finance attorney for Latham & Watkins and was a CPA for KPMG.
Michael holds a Juris Doctorate from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia. Outside of work, Michael enjoys family time with his wife, Shannon, and their three very active teenage kids.
