Position Summary:

The Associate Director – Family Office Accountant (FAO) will be primarily responsible for a variety of family office accounting and reporting tasks for the CEO/Founder and will work proactively and collaboratively with, and report to, the other members of the family office team including the Managing Director-Finance & Accounting, the General Counsel and the Chief Financial Officer.  The Family Office Accountant must have a strong understanding of accounting best practices, stakeholder communications, forecasting, and have a strong background in Quick Books and other software.  The candidate should have the ability to interpret data, and the skillset to transform raw data into comprehensive, understandable, and streamlined reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the accounting for entities owned by our CEO/Founder and his family.
  • Reviewing invoices and expenses related to these entities, getting appropriate approval for payment, and initiating payment. Experience with bill.com is a plus.
  • Coordination of fund transfers as needed.
  • Scheduling and attending periodic meetings to update the key stakeholder and others on the status of key items.
  • Monthly reporting packages for key stakeholders.
  • Quarterly reporting packages needed in support of guarantees and loan covenants.
  • Working with tax firms to provide necessary and appropriate financial and other information.
  • Cash flow analysis and forecasting.
  • Other duties as needed and requested.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in general accounting, AP/AR, reconciliations, financial statement prep & reporting, month-end closing activities, payroll, taxation, FP&A (cash flow forecasting, DCF modeling & valuation, variance analysis, etc.), and financial controls.

Position Summary:

The position will help manage the day-to-day operations of Forum Capital Advisors (“FCA”) and its investment offerings.  The Associate will assist in overseeing fund operations and support Investor Relations, while also documenting and implementing best practices and assisting with the regulatory compliance of all investment vehicles.   The employee will contribute to ensuring the efficient and effective operations of all FCA fund offerings and assist with third-party vendor management and regulatory compliance.  This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of FCA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the day-to-day operations of FCA’s fund offerings which consist of both public (1940-Act) and private closed end funds
  • Identify and communicate liquidity needs of funds including capital calls, redemptions, and financing, as applicable
  • Oversee Income Fund’s daily NAV reporting process, coordinating with service providers accordingly
  • Work with third parties including transfer agent, fund administrator and custodians to assist with fund purchases, redemption offers and distributions
  • Coordinate distribution payments and corresponding communications
  • Assist with the processing of membership sales, investor transfers, and general investor inquiries
  • Oversee the accuracy of data provided via the funds’ investor portal
  • Provide assistance to investors and intermediaries with completing subscription documents, funding of capital calls, transfers, and other general maintenance items, as needed
  • Prepare materials for and moderate fund Valuation Committee meetings
  • Pro-actively document, implement and help enforce operational best practices, policies, and procedures, as needed
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal employees/teams (fund administration, legal, compliance, fund accounting, etc.) on an ongoing basis
  • Assist the Chief Compliance Officer with various routine regulatory filings
  • Prepare reporting to management, outside vendors, and the Board of Trustees (if applicable) as needed
  • Provide pro-active guidance on issues with fund operations, vendor service performance and other concerns
  • Manage the calculation and approval process of fund capital calls and distributions, along with corresponding investor reports
  • Assist in responding to audit and regulatory requests, as needed
  • Work with the entire FCA team to onboard/launch new products, as applicable
  • Assist with fund collateral reporting documents monthly and quarterly updates
  • Help with the organization and management of departmental shared file system, third party content and market databases
  • Other ad-hoc duties as needed and assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum combined 5 years of 40-Act and/or private fund operations experience
  • Experience with 40-Act Funds required. Private, closed-end funds, securities, and NAV REIT structures would be a plus.
  • Familiarity with applicable SEC and FINRA regulations
  • Experience in overseeing fund administrators, valuation services providers, and other third parties
  • Experience as an effective and results driven project manager
  • Strong sense of ethics, integrity, honesty, and initiative
  • Ability to collaborate and work with other FCA employees and external service providers

Position Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Portfolio & Asset Management arm of the Structured Finance platform in managing existing investments across several discretionary funds and separate accounts.  The role will primarily be focused on asset and portfolio-level reporting, managing closings of new investments, and facilitating the construction draw processes of real estate investments, which primarily include mezzanine loans, preferred equity, senior loans, bridge loans, and joint venture equity backed by multi-family assets (or construction projects). 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the senior members of the Structured Finance platform, loan administration team, and other key departments at Forum to manage an institutional quarterly and annual reporting process for a rapidly growing portfolio of investments across the US.
  • Conduct regular underwriting updates as necessitated by changing market conditions (e.g. varying interest rate environment, rent and expense growth or softening, expansion or contracting of capitalization rates, etc.).
  • Identify, monitor, and evaluate local and regional market and asset class trends, and general economic conditions as they relate to the various investment strategies that Forum is managing, utilizing third-party reporting resources such as CoStar Analytics, Yardi Matrix, and Axios.
  • Assist in reviewing monthly construction draw funding requests and liaise with the borrowers and property construction consultants to ensure projects are progressing on time and on budget.
  • Assist as needed in the closing process of investments by managing and reviewing due diligence materials, including (but not limited to) third-party reports, guarantor financials, development plans, title and zoning, and Sponsor track record.
  • Support a team of real estate private equity investment professionals responsible for the origination, underwriting, closing, and managing of investments on behalf of institutional funds and separate accounts.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2 -5 years of related experience in an analytical role, preferably real estate focused.

  • A keen attention to detail with a thorough understanding of financial applications and legalese.

Position Summary:

The Senior Associate, Business Development (OR Associate Director for the right level of experience) is responsible for the execution of all sales support, service, and marketing-related activities for the group. Compensation Information:  Base salary range is $90,000 to $130,000. This range is estimated for this role; actual pay may be different.  This position could be hired as a Senior Associate or an Associate Director depending on the level of experience we find.
